Watched all the TV show, brilliant stuff, never read the books but i bought the first one there last week to read. I think will wait until each series is finished before reading the book its based on.

I've read the first 2 books. Very good they are.

My Girlfriend liked the show so much she stopped watching it after episode 2 and read the first book in a week and then watched the rest of the show.

I have to say i didnt think certain characters *spoiler* where going to get killed off. looking forward to starting the book just to get some more info on whats going on, id imagine there is a bit more in the books than the tv show?
